Clavistone, Naming and Brand Identity Design

Completed as Lead Designer of DSR Branding

With illustrious accounting careers under their belts, David and Debbie Reeves were going out on their own. They needed a brand name and identity for their newly launched accounting firm.

Clavistone brings together the Latin word for key ‘Clavis’, with the solidity and authority of ‘stone’ to create a name conceptually powerful, phonetically pleasing and meaningfully distinct. The key logo stands like a flag with a small ‘C’ built into the teeth at the top. It is designed to resemble carved stone. Typographic layouts are aligned in almost a spreadsheet-like fashion. Bright red and white duplexed cards with a hot plate foil, help Clavistone stand out amongst their competition. Stationery with one side of full-bleed red, allows a key to shine through when caught by the light.
